Mr Wooderson – Maidenhead

The problem

We were called to the property to investigate the cause of foul water pooling on the surface of the drive.

The course of action

We completed a CCTV Survey to establish the cause of the problem, and utilised sonding. Our team identified a blocked drainage system, three buried inspection chambers and 55 metres of defective pipe work which was holding debris and was partially blocked. The customer also experienced a blocked rainwater gully and flooding at the front of the garage. We extracted the water from the gully, carried out a CCTV drain inspection and found a soak away with major root ingress.

Work undertaken

  • Insertion of Fibre Resin Linear Liner (55 Metres)
  • Installation of new Soak Away
  • Installation of new Gullies

The outcome

We submitted a written quotation within 24 hours and successfully completed the work. There have now been no further problems.

Mrs Cowan – Surbiton

The problem

Mrs Cowan called reporting sewage flooding out of the inspection chamber at the front of the property.

The course of action

We attended the property to clear the blocked drain. Upon clearance of the blockage we carried out a CCTV drain survey of the drainage system and found a second inspection chamber housing interceptor, buried beneath the surface. The interceptor and main drainage run were suffering from severe root ingression.

We provided verbal quotation and returned the following day to remove the Interceptor and installed a rat blocker with 19 metres of fibre resin linear liner.

The outcome

We submitted a written quotation within 24 hours and successfully completed the work. There have now been no further problems.

Kevin Day

The problem

Mr Day complained of foul smells coming from the drainage system that were quite potent, making for an unpleasant aroma in the areas surrounding the drainage. He could not see an obvious fault and therefore got in touch with the team here at Express Drainage.

The course of action

Upon this initial consultation we suggested to Mr Day that a camera survey would be the most effective form of diagnosis, which was then booked for the 22nd of March 2013. The survey consisted of a fully comprehensive search carried out by a qualified drainage engineer to show the following elements:

  • A full written report
  • Site plan drawing
  • Site summary
  • DVD footage and still photos of any defects such as displaced joints (slight to medium), stress fractures, incoming laterals, and scale/residual debris

Mr Day received the full report 3-4 days after the survey along with our recommended remedial action, as well as the projected costing. Mr Day was thoroughly satisfied with our CCTV drainage survey and decided to pursue our recommendations, with services then booked for the 9th of August 2013.

The recommended course of action following the survey was high pressure drain jetting to clean any scale and debris in the drainage run, followed by relining a 3m section using fibre resin linear liner (super sleeve) to regain the structural integrity of the pipe.

The outcome

The survey and recommended action were all carried out successfully and Mr Day has had no further problems.

Very helpful, clearly explained what needed doing, all decisions left up to me, would use them again if needed.- a customer in London
