General

What are your opening hours?

Our office is open Monday-Friday 7am-6pm.

For emergencies, we do have an out-of-hours team who operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

When do I make a payment?

You will need to make a payment on completion of the job, which the engineer will inform you about on-site. If you aren’t going to be on-site while the job is underway, we’ll take your card details on booking the job and charge your card once the job has been completed.

We accept debit cards, credit cards, cheques and cash payments.

Will I receive a time slot for my visit?

Yes, you will be given a time slot upon booking your appointment. Time slots are either AM or PM, with our AM slots being between 8am-1pm and our PM slots being 1pm-6pm.

To make things even more precise for you, we offer the option for a courtesy call 30 minutes prior to the engineer’s arrival.

How far do you cover?

We serve customers throughout London and the surrounding areas, with our engineer location points designed to minimise travel time and maximise service levels.

See our coverage areas for further info.

Do you charge a callout fee?

We do not charge for our callouts. Each job is priced up & quoted over the phone.

How quickly can you attend?

We can provide a same-day response.

If your matter is less urgent, we can book you in on a date of your choice, with AM (8am – 12pm) and PM (12pm-5.30pm) slots available.

What guarantees do you offer?

We offer several guarantees on our work, including 10 years guarantee on manufacturer products, 10 years guarantee on drain relining services, and five years guarantee for drain installations and excavations.

Do you offer accounts for ongoing work?

For the first invoice, we do require payment upon completion of the work carried out, but following that, we can issue you with an account form to complete and return, making payments for ongoing work simpler.

Account setups are subject to credit checks, and our payment terms are 30 days from the invoice date. To enquire about setting up an account with us, contact the operations team on 0800 612 5748 or via email operations@expressdrainagesolutions.co.uk.

Surveys

Whats included in a 'look & see' CCTV drain survey?

In a ‘look & see’ CCTV drain survey, an engineer will attend the site and complete a basic survey. A camera is used to check the condition of the drain and transmits the footage to the engineer, who will talk through the findings with the client. See more package details here.

We’d recommend this service for basic concerns, such as foul odours or rodent issues, or to give you peace of mind that your drains are functioning as they should.

What is included in a fully comprehensice CCTV drain survey?

Our fully comprehensive CCTV drain survey includes everything offered in the lite survey, as well as a full written report, a DVD of the footage, copies of the still images captured and a CAD drawing which shows the connections of the drain system, pipework type and the pipe diameter. We would also offer expert recommendations on any work your drainage would benefit from. See more package details here.

This type of inspection is recommended for home buyers, homeowners and businesses that need to produce documents for insurance companies, property developers or surveyors.

When will I get the report from my comprehensive CCTV drain survey?

The report will be issued via post between 5-7 days after the survey is carried out. The option for the report to be issued via email is available upon request.

Will I be charged if a drain survey can't be done?

If the survey can’t be completed once our engineer has arrived on site, a charge of 50% of the total fee will be made.

Is there an additional charge for surveying further?

Yes, a £4.50 surcharge per metre is made.

Can you survey my drain without access to a manhole?

Yes, a survey is still possible without manhole access. We will gain access by cutting into the vertical stat pipe. Once the work is completed, the pipe will be sealed up again.

Does excavation work include reinstating the disturbed ground?

Yes, this will be outlined in your quotation.
